Local Bus Lines
Bus Vouchers & Transportation Assistance
Yolobus Low-Income Program
Discounted monthly passes for qualifying low-income riders. Apply through Yolobus directly.
How to Get It:
Call Yolobus or visit their office to request a low-income pass application. Income verification required.
Medi-Cal Transportation (NEMT)
Free Non-Emergency Medical Transportation for Medi-Cal recipients who need rides to medical appointments.
How to Get It:
Call your Medi-Cal managed care plan at least 2–3 days before your appointment. Lyft and other rideshares are sometimes available same-day.
CalWORKs Transportation Assistance
Transportation support for CalWORKs participants to attend work, training, or job interviews.
How to Get It:
Ask your CalWORKs case manager about transportation assistance — it can include gas cards, bus passes, or reimbursements.
Workforce Development (WIOA) Transport Support
Transportation assistance for job training participants through WIOA-funded programs.
How to Get It:
Contact Yolo Works and tell them you need transportation support to attend your training program.
211 Emergency Transportation Assistance
211 can connect you with organizations that provide emergency gas vouchers, bus passes, and ride support.
How to Get It:
Call or text 211 and ask specifically about transportation assistance in your area.
Covered California / ACA Ride Benefits
Some Covered California health plans include free or discounted transportation to medical appointments.
How to Get It:
Check your plan documents or call member services to see if your plan includes transportation benefits.
Partner & Specialized Transportation
Lyft / Uber (Medi-Cal)
Many Medi-Cal managed care plans partner with Lyft or Uber for non-emergency medical rides.
Contact your health plan first — rides must be pre-authorized.
Salvation Army (Emergency Rides)
The Salvation Army may provide emergency transportation assistance for urgent needs.
Call your local Salvation Army to ask about ride or gas voucher availability.
Catholic Charities
May provide transportation assistance for low-income individuals and families.
Contact them to ask about transportation support in Yolo/Sacramento counties.
Yolo Crisis Nursery Transport
